Warren Eaton, 92, a pioneer resident of Granger died Sunday,Sept. 14, 1980 in Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.
Eaton was born in Tacoma, moving to Granger as a young boy, and was the only son of George P. Eaton, one of the founding fathers of Granger. Warren Eaton married his childhood sweetheart, Hazel Gale, and they reared their family by farming and dairying on their farm near Granger.
Eaton was one of the first farmers in the area to experiment with raising peppermint as a commercial crop. He left farming and spent a number of years in construction work before retiring in Seattle to be near his daughters.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Earl Parker of Seattle, Mrs.Victor A. Nichols, of Salem, Ore. and one son, Warren Eaton, of Chicago,Ill., five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
