Obituary—Vivian F. Amos
Vivian F. "Betsy" Amos, 85, of St. Marys died Monday, October 9, 1995 at a St. Marys nursing home.
She was born October 3, 1910 at Seneca, the daughter of Charles Royal and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Hughes. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1929.
Mrs. Amos was an Avon representative in Soldier and St. Marys. She had lived in Soldier, Seneca and Sabetha before moving to St. Marys.
She was a charter member of the former Soldierettes Home Demonstration Unit.
She married John T. Amos, Jr. June 22, 1929, in Sidney, Iowa. He died March 1, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Brunkow, Overland Park, and Bethyl Ann Bundridge, Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, John T. Amos, III, Soldier, and Maurice F. Amos, St. Marys; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Soldier Cemetery.
Memorial are suggested to the KSU Center for Basic Cancer Research in care of the Denison State Bank, Holton.
