JOINT RITES FOR S.L. PAIR KILLED IN AUTO CRASH
Joint funeral services for Clinton Merrill Buckingham, 44, of 530 East Second South street, and his wife, Mrs. Vanessa Rolfe Buckingham, 39, found dead in their wrecked automobile Saturday in Wolf Creek Pass in Wasatch County, will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at 36 East Seventh South street in Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the place of funeral until time for services. Mr. Buckingham will be buried in Salt Lake Cemetery, and the body of Mrs. Buckingham will be taken to Grass Valley Ore., for burial.
The couple crashed to their deaths, said sheriff's officers when their small coupe plunged over a 200-foot embankment while they were on an outing in the mountains late Friday.
Mr. Buckingham was born in Dubuque, Iowa, July 5, 1897, a son of W.O. and Annie Laurie Buckingham. He was a member of the Utah Constabulary Service at the time of his death. Survivors include his father of Omaha, Neb., a sister, Mrs. Rudy Olson of Omaha, and three brothers, J.W. Buckingham of Boise Idaho; M. Buckingham of Omaha; and Clarence Buckingham, address unknown.
Mrs. Buckingham was born in Vancouver Wash., April 4, 1902, a daughter of T.M. and Clara E. Marshall Rolfe. Surviving Mrs. Buckingham are her parents of Grass Valley Ore., two sons by a previous marriage, Everett Dunlap of Grass Valley and Melvin Dunlap of Pendleton, Ore., three sisters, Mrs. Harriet Wells of Grass Valley, Mrs. Maxine Baker of Seattle Wash., and Mrs. Frances Matthews of Stevenson Wash; also three brothers, William, Robert and John Rolfe, all of Grass Valley.

After two days with no fatal accidents, the bodies of C. Merrill Buckingham, 44, and his wife, Mrs. Vanessa Rolfe Buckingham, 39, of 530 East Second South street, Salt Lake City, were recovered from the bottom of Wolf Creek Pass in Wasatch County in September 20 after their automobile plunged nearly 200 feet down an embankment and over huge rocks sometime late September 19.

Vanessa Buckingham Buried Thursday.
Vanessa Rolfe Dunlap Buckingham was instantly killed Friday near Salt Lake, Utah, when the car she was riding in with her husband left the road. Both were killed. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.M. Rolfe. Mrs. Buckingham was born April 4, 1901 and came to Sherman county with her parents in 1913. She was married in 1918 to Joe Dunlap and two children survive that union. They are Everett of Grass Valley and Melvin of Hermiston. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Methodist church in Grass Valley with Zell's in charge. Interment was made in the Grass Valley IOOF cemetery.
And Mrs. T.M. Rolfe received word Saturday that their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Buckingham of Salt Lake City, Utah were killed in an automobile accident. Mrs. Buckingham's son, Everett Dunlap left Saturday evening for Salt Lake. Her son Melvin Dunlap, left Sunday accompanied by Leighton Fields.

*Clinton is buried in Utah.
