Thomas Jefferson Alexander served as a First Sergeant in Company G of the 16th Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry Regiment in the American Civil War.

He was originally from Shirleysburg, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.

He was a veteran who survived the war.
