Funeral services for Maxine Miner
Barnes, 57, of Hatteras, N.C. were held
Friday, Jan. 28, 1983.
She died from a massive coronary
Jan. 25.
Maxine was the daughter of Martha
Miner of Hot Springs, Ark., and the
late Arthur C. Miner, former residents
of Ogden. Mr. Miner was a rural mail
carrier for several years.
Maxine attended school in Ogden
and graduated in 1948. She received
her secretarial training at AIB in Des
Moines. Maxine worked for the govern~
ment for 20 years, her latest job at the
Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
She married Col. Richard W. Barnes
Nov. 16, 1967.
Survivors are her husband, Richard;
her mother, Martha Miner; a brother,
Walter (Jack) of Grand Rapids, Mich.;
two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Rosemarie) Kohl
of Logan and Mrs. Roy (Linda) Crane of
Hot Springs; several nieces and neph~
ews.
She was preceded in death by her
father in 1964 and her brother Jim in
1981.
