BETTY LEE HART HOLBROOK COOPER CHENOWETH
Betty Lee Hart Chenoweth, 60, went to be with her Lord, Friday, April 4, 1997, after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born March 29, 1937 in Groveton. She lived in the Houston-Conroe area. Mrs. Chenoweth was retired from Southwestern Bell after 28 years of service. Betty was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Holbrook; husband, Jesse Chenoweth; mother, Verna Hart; father, Clarence Hart; brother, Thomas Wayne Hart; and sister, Margie Spangler.
She is survived by her children, Steven and Marion Holbrook, Theresa and Jeff Kandle, Talenia Holbrook, and Lee and Dana Cooper; grandchildren, Steve and Holly Holbrook, Allen Long, Jennifer Bowman, and Jonathan Lewis; one great granddaugher, Samantha Bowman; brothers and sisters, Clarence and Dorothy Hart of Rye, Melba Hart-High of Huntsville, Floyd and Pat Hart of Pasadena, Lester and Myra Hart of Pearland, Clara and Rick Yoss of Rowlet, Beverly and Steve Ryan of Vienna, WV, and Dorothy Hart-Dean of Groveton; and numerous nieces, nephews,and close friends.
Pallbearers were Allen Long, Steven Holbrook, Lee Cooper, James Cheetham, James Danheim and George Inglesis.
Services were held Monday, April 7, 1997 at 3.p.m. in Calvary Cemetery Chapel with interment following in the Calvary Hill Cemetery. Bro Lewis Jones of First Baptist Church conducted a beautiful service.
