Camille Joseph Brocato, 85, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Harbor Hospice. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana and a seventy-three year resident of Beaumont, Camille served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was the former owner of Laurel Street Grocery.

His parents, B.A. and Marie Brocato; and brother, Tony Brocato preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Lena Brocato; sons, Benny Brocato and his wife Sheryl of Beaumont, Frank Brocato and his wife Becky of Houston, Steve Brocato and his wife Shannon of Manor, and Joe Brocato and his wife Jenefer of Austin; grandchildren, Michael Brocato and his wife Tara, Samuel Brocato and his wife Aleena, Trent, Rachel, Laurel, Taylor and Chloe Brocato; nephew, Jerry Brocato; niece, Marie Jones; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
