Joseph John Dambrova, passed to his new life on January 20th, 2010 at the age of 90 in The Woodlands, Texas. He passed with dignity and reverence with his loving son William Dambrova, daughter in law Janet Dambrova and grandson Bill Dambrova, Jr. by his side. Joe was born in Superior, Wisconsin on March 3rd, 1919 to Tony & Elizabeth Dambrova who immigrated from Vilnus, Lithuania.
He served in the United States Army during WWII on station in the Aleutian Islands in the Asiatic Pacific. Joe was always involved with the community as he presided as President of Kiwanis International and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Scottsdale, Arizona specializing in tourism when working in the hotel industry for over forty years.
Joe moved to The Woodlands, Tx in 2002 from Phoenix, Arizona to be closer to his family. Even though he became blind in recent years, he looked forward to meeting all his friends on Saturday mornings at the local
HEB grocery store and having special lunches with his extended family (Joe's Angels) at The Woodlands Culver's Restaurant. He found friends everywhere he went and never met a stranger. His sense of humor helped him make through the difficult days of his life as his goal was to get a smile on everyone's face.
Joe is survived by his son, William Dambrova, daughter in law Janet Dambrova along with his grandson William Dambrova, Jr. from Los Angeles, Ca. and granddaughter Andria Dambrova Munsch with great grandchildren Justin and Tarah Munsch from Spring,Tx. Joe's daughter Elizabeth Dambrova Edwards and grandson Stefan Edwards of Victoria, Texas. Chris, Miki and Monte Rankin along with Wes, Jessica, Jordyn and Scarlett Rankin in Montgomery County, Texas.
