Born in North Hatley, Canada on April 29, 1869 to Francois Coulombe and Marie Anne Caya, David married first to Christine St. Pierre (abt 1874-1893) and had a daughter, Eva (1892-1919). His second marriage to Eva Counter (1878-1904) resulted in 3 children: Edward, Felix and Mena. He emigrated to the US in 1905. And in 1909 he married widow Emilde Verrette St Onge (~1882-after 1950), first in St-David-d`Yamaska, Québec and then again the same year in Lamoille, Vermont and that union resulted in 7 additional children: Cecille, Ralph, Malvina, Emile, Leonard, Rena and Ernest. Around 1917, David and his family moved to Whitehall, NY, where he worked as a dryer in the Silk Mills. David became a naturalized US citizen sometime in the 1930's and passed at the age of 70 in the family home on First Avenue, which he purchased around 1925. A member of the Notre Dame des Victoires Church, his funeral service was held there on March 23, 1950 with interment at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Whitehall, NY.
