Brown Boshears, 80, of Jacksboro, died Thursday morning in Tampa, Florida. He was a Charter member and deacon of Mt. Paran Baptist Church, and a retired farmer.
Survivors include 7 sons, Harold, Wheeler, Hugh, Wade and Cal Boshears, all of Jacksboro, Eldon Boshears of Hopedale, Ill., Morton Boshears of Alexandria, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. W.T. (Opal) Phillips of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs. Ernest (Lillie Marie) Kidwell and Mrs. David (Mary Hannah) Riggs, both of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Wheeler Boshears of Jacksboro, Nathan Boshears of LaFollette; five sisters, Mrs. Jane Morton of LaFollette, Mrs. Hannah Wilson of Jacksboro, Mrs. Monroe (Ruby) Moffette, and Mrs. Adie Porter, both of Spring City, Tn, Mrs. Ella Dossett of Tampa, Fl.; 38 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Whited and the Rev. A.H. Gough and Mrs. Milford Ely officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Martin Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
