Christopher Wiggins Bolsinger was the second son of Perry C. and Margaret E. (Wiggins) Bolsinger. He had four brothers and eight sisters. His family moved from Fayette Co. Pa. to Delaware, Iowa in 1847. He married Margaret E. McCrum, (1855-1880), daughter of John and Dorothy McCrum, on 28 Aug 1821 at Glenn Haven, WI. They had one son, Frank L. who died at the age of 22 from injuries received by being run over by a train. The death was accidental as he was on his way to visit and Aunt and got confused in the dark.
Chris. Wiggins first worked in his father's store and then continued after his father died in 1878, working for his elder brother, James Knox Polk Bolsinger. He and Maggie lived on Main St of Colesburg next to his brother in 1880. Maggie died at the early age of twenty-five of tuberculosis.
C. W. died early as well at the age of forty-seven. He died in his mother's home in Colony township after he had returned from a trip to Colorado where he had gone in an attempt to improve his health. Maggie and he are both laid to rest in the Brown Cemetery. It is believed that their son is laid there as well.
