She was born in Waltonville, on March 14, 1936, the daughter of James M. & Edna Lucille (Conner) Houseworth.
Mrs. Armey is survived by her seven children, S.L. Cookie Drew and fiancée Mike Mitchell of Benton, Jim M. Bailor and wife, Renea of Valier, Patricia J. Peterson and husband, Eric of Yuba City, California, Rhonda Condo of Phoenix, Bobby Armey of Mascoutah, Stephen Armey and wife, Katherine of O'Fallon, and John Armey of Benton; 10 grandchildren, Bryan Drew and wife, Christen, Jason Drew and fiancée, Kelsey, Britaney Bailor and Brent Oberlink, Casey Dickey and Nicolo Anselmi, Alan Eubanks, Niki and Dereck Williams, Travis Armey, Talyah Armey and Danielle Armey; nine great-grandchildren, Olivia, Victoria, Harrison, Aurora, McKenzie, Addison, Amelia, Drake and Devin; five brothers, Dallas Houseworth and wife, Brenda of Ewing, Darrel Houseworth and wife, Bev of Crete, Clifford Houseworth and wife, Judy of Ewing, Dr. Jimmy Houseworth and wife, Phyllis of Carterville and Mike Houseworth and wife, Regina of Ewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Mark Minor officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
