Grandpa was a WW II veteran and serviced a total of 10 years in the U.S. Army most of it before the war. He got out of the service shortly after he was married and my mother was born. He got out of the Army as a Staff Sergeant. His Grandfather also served in the U.S. Army during the Civil War and was a prisoner of war at Andersonville, GA.
