Diana Aker-Siakotos, 48, formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan and Tucson, Arizona, died September 1, 2009 in San Diego, California. Diana was born December 29, 1960 in Battle Creek, the youngest daughter of Norman and Janet Aker.
She graduated from Lakeview High School and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at Western Michigan University. After working a few years in Michigan she moved to San Diego, working for General Dynamics in the defense industry.
She married Micheal Burkett in 1988. He is deceased. Diana worked for Raytheon Corporation in Tucson, Arizona for 10 years as a Purchasing Manager, and in 1977 was married to Michael Siakotos.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Alan Burkett of Tucson, AZ, her mother Janet Aker, of Venice, FL, sister Deborah Thom, of Lake Orion Michigan, brother David Aker, of Venice FL, and ex-husband Michael Siakotos of Tucson, AZ.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery.
