Naomi Ruth Grubaugh was born in 1919 to Edward Lee Grubaugh and Elsie May Kelly. She was the fifth of their 8 children. She married Samuel A. "Cleo" Baker in 1947 and had two children with him. She became the step-mother of Cleo's 2 1/2 year old daughter when she married Cleo. Cleo died in 1999 and was cremated and placed in an urn at Bonney-Watson Washington Park Cemetery. Naomi also was cremated and is buried next to him.

Naomi Grubaugh BAKER Naomi Grubaugh Baker, age 93, passed away peacefully in Mountlake Terrace, WA on May 7, 2013 surrounded by family. Naomi was born on September 16,1919 in Oaktown, IN. She married Cleo Baker in February of 1947 & instantly became the mother of his 21/2 year old daughter, Judith Ann. They moved from Indiana to Seattle, WA in 1948 when Cleo began working for Boeing. Naomi & Cleo raised 3 children, Judith Ann Burdick, Samuel Wayne Baker, & Pamela Kay Greninger. Naomi loved being a wife & mother. As her children grew & left home, the "mother instinct" continued & she began her career in daycare, caring for infants & toddlers over many years. She & Cleo were active in the West Seattle American Legion Post 160. They moved to BelMor Park in Federal Way, WA in the mid 1970's. Naomi enjoyed bingo, dancing with Cleo & long drives. Her beloved husband passed away on May 13, 1994. She has finally reunited with him & they are dancing together before the Lord. Naomi is survived by her sister, Dorothy Jean Connerley; 3 children; 5 grandchildren; & 6 great-granddaughters. The family will gather at Bonney - Watson Washington Memorial Park on Thursday, May 16, 2013, 11:00 AM to place Naomi's urn with her husband Cleo's. Friends are encouraged to visit to leave Naomi's family messages of comfort and remembrance.
