Jesse Clyde Adams
JEFFERSON CITY - Jesse Clyde Adams, 90, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1992 in Memorial Community Hospital.
He was born Oct. 19, 1901 in Mokane, a son of George W. and Alice P. Bean Adams. He married Frances A. Rothove June 8, 1948 in Jefferson City, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Bill Adams, of Gerald; one daughter, Helen Zueck, of Rock Spring, Wyo.; two stepsons, Donald Rothove, of Kansas City, and Ronald Rothove, of Gravois Mills; two stepdaughters, Ruth Rutledge and Joan Graessle, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Bernice Masek, of Mokane; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. One son, Ronald Adams, preceded him in death.
He was a life-long mid-Missouri resident, attending rural Callaway County schools. He was a serviceman with Missouri Power and Light Co. from 1941 until his retirement in 1967. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Freeman Chapel, the Rev. Larry Wells officiating. Burial was in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the family said.
