COURTLAND– Mildred McDowell Cosby, 77, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Services were Friday at Dickins Funeral Home. Rev. Terrell McGreger and Rev. Chris Wolfe officiated. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Cosby was a factory worker, nurse's aide and a school bus driver. She was a member of the Batesville Chapter of Eastern Star and Tocowa Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cosby.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ouida Joyce Smith of Bartlett, Tenn.; two sons, Ronald "Ronnie" Cosby of Batesville and Dennis Cosby of Courtland; one sister, Juanita Clark of West Monroe, La.; one brother, Brooks McDowell of Courtland; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
