He was born July 1, 1959, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John T. Jr. and Dorothy Dougherty Daugherty.
Mr. Daugherty was last employed as a laborer in heavy construction, and lived in Eighty Four since 1996.
On April 26, 1974, he married Linda Summers, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christina Lynn (Doyle Brooks) Daugherty of Avalon and Linda Joann Daugherty of Eighty Four; two sons, John T. (Fran) Daugherty V of Charleroi and Albert Michael Daugherty of Eighty Four; a brother, Carlo (Sonya) Daugherty of Coal Center; three sisters, Johnalynn (Robert) Jenkins of Charleroi, Congetta (Chuck) Trichler of Pittsburgh and Frances (Andrew) Pershina of Eighty Four; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Gamble, and a brother, John T. Daugherty III, who died in infancy.
