Edgar J Barnes was the son Rosswell F Barnes 1833 and Juliette Gardner. His parents were married in Cherry Creek in 1872 where his mother's parents lived. His father's parents lived in Alden, Erie, New York. His parents moved to Allegheny, Potter County, Pennsylvania and lived in the county the rest of their lives.
Edgar married Estella Rossman in Whitesville, Independence, Allegany County, New York. His father had other relatives that lived in that area. After the couple were married, they lived in Potter County for the rest of their lives.
After Edgar died in 1911, his wife remarried Edward Frank Tauscher and lived in Potter County until she died in 1945, and Edward died in 1970.
