KEEDYSVILLE - Linda Ann Dixon, 58, of 5135 Porterstown Road in Keedysville, Md., died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Gilchrist Center in Towson, Md.

Born Oct. 8, 1952, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of Christina Catherine Stevenson Harris of Smithsburg, Md., and the late Robert Marcus Harris.

She previously was employed by Keslar Enterprises.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Greg Dixon Sr.; one daughter, Kristin Short of Boonsboro, Md.; one stepson, Greg Dixon Jr. of Hagerstown; two sisters, Susan Harris of Hagerstown and Debra Thompson of Hancock, Md.; two brothers, Larry Harris of Smithsburg and Garry Harris of Tilghmanton, Md.; and four grandchildren, Karsyn Burker, Jamie Burker, Ariel Dixon and Dylan Dixon.

A memorial service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 25 S. Main St., Keedysville. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, and Monday one hour before the service at the church.

The family would like to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Robinwood Medical Center for their care and support. Memorial donations may be made to kidneycancer.org.
