Mrs. M. M. Cain Passes in Hospital At New London, Conn.
Mrs. M. M. Cain and daughter, Mrs. Sam Bournias and little daughter,Judy, left Teague May 19, to visit their son and brother and wife, Lt. and Mrs. Matt Murry Cain in New London, Conn. On the following Wednesday evening Mrs. Cain took suddenly ill and was taken to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Thursday, where her condition was pronounced very serious. She grew steadily worse and died Sunday, May 30,at 1 o'clock p.m. Mr. Cain left immediately for New London, on receiving the word that she was ill. The remains will arrive in Palestine today.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD HERE FOR MRS. M. M. CAIN
Funeral services were held here Friday for Mrs. M. M. Cain, aged 46 years 7 months and 2 days, who died suddenly in the St. Lawrence Hospital in New London,Conn. Sunday May 30, at 1 o'clock p.m. of rocky mountain spotted fever.
The services were conducted by the Rev. A. W. Yell, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Teague and Rev. F. Claude Adams pastor of the First Methodist church here. The music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Bess Sewell, Miss Alice Ruth Lee, Red Irwin and W. J. Flaharty, with piano accompaniment by Miss Claire Drumwright. Burial was at 5:30 o'clock in the Greenwood cemetery.
Survivors are her husband, M. M. Cain and two children, a son, Lt. M. M. Cain Jr., of New London, Conn., and Mrs. Sam Bournias, and one grand child Judith Elaine Bournias. She is also survived by her father, J. D. Maupin of Teague and two sisters, Mrs. R. C. Castleberry of Teague and Mrs. Lloyd Allen of Estherville, Iowa.
Pall bearers were H. B. Middleton, Courtney Sheffield, Billie H. Webb, J. C. McSpadden, Clydell McSpadden and F. G. Peyton. Honorary pall bearers were Geo. H. Woodruff, H. L. Lindsey, H. C. McMichael Jr., Carter Wills, Roy Dunn, N. W. Bendy, Bob Compton, and Robt. F. Riley.
Mrs. Cain was born in DeSoto, Mo., October 28, 1896 and united with the DeSoto Baptist church at ten years of age. She moved to Teague with her parents in 1909, where she transferred her letter to the Presbyterian church. She married M. M. Cain June 28, 1916. To this union was born two children, M. M. Cain Jr., and Mrs. Helen Cain Bournias. Mrs. Cain received her education in the Teague
schools and also attended Trinity University in Waxahachie.
Those who attended the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Maupin, Miss Grace Gloria Campbell of Waco, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fuchs of Thrall and Mrs. Alice Owens of Dallas.
