ALBAUGH - Services for Mrs. Verona Albaugh, mother of four sons in the armed forces and three serving overseas, were to be conducted today at the Mayfield Methodist Church, SOM Center and Wilson Mills Rds., Mayfield Village. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Novelty, Ohio.
Mrs. Albaugh, a native Clevelander, died Sunday just two days before her sixty-eighth birthday, at her home, 45 SOM Center Rd., Mayfield Village. She was long active in women's organizations and clubs in Mayfield and was a member of the Mayfield Mothers Club, the Blue Star Mothers and the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are six children, Staff Sergeant Ross, Private Franklin and Private Herbert, al serving in the Pacific area, and Corporal Grant Albaugh, stationed at Columbia, S.C., who came home several before his mother's death; Elmer W. Albaugh and Miss Grace Albaugh. The Monreal Funeral Home 15144 St. Clair Ave., is in charge of arrangements. (died September 2, 1945)

Only one of her four sons in the armed forces was home at the death of Mrs. Verona C. Albaugh at her home, 45 S.O.M. Center Road, Mayfield Village. The son, who was back to see his newborn son, is Corp. Grant Albaugh of the Air Forces, stationed at Columbia, S.C. Overseas at their mother's death were Sgt. Ross, in the Pacific with the Army, and Pvt. Franklin and Pvt. Herbert, both in the Pacific with the Marine Corps. Mrs. Albaugh who was 68, had lived 25 years in Mayfield Heights and moved to Mayfield Village about a year ago. She was the wife of Oliver H. Albaugh who survives her with her four soldier sons and her other children, Elmer W. and Grace. Services were conducted at 2:30 this afternoon in the Mayfield Methodist Church followed by burial at Novelty, O.
