Arthur L. Bailey, 69, 307 Vine St. Galena, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Hospital in Joplin, Mo. following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Bailey was born Aug. 2, 1905 in Central City, Mo. and resided in Galena most of his life.

He was a retired construction worker.

He was united in marriage on Nov. 20, 1962, at Indepedence, Ks. to Mrs. Gladys Cottongin.

Loved ones who survive are his wife Gladys Bailey of the home; two brothers, Deamer Bailey, Galena route 2, and Ernest Bailey of the State of California; and two sisters, Mrs. Erma Ponder, Corpus Christi, Tex., Mrs. Leota Rhude, Joplin, Mo.

Funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday, (today) in the Derfelt Chapel with the Rev. Dow Booe officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bud Sill, John Vaughn, Charles Boyes, Mike Sumpter, Delbert Curry and Sam Shira.

Closing service and interment will be held in the City Cemetery at Columbus, Kans. under the direction of the Derfelt Funeral home
of Galena.
