Eli Reed Brooks (Jr.), 73, a retired machinist, died yesterday (May 14) at Surbuban General Hospital, Bellevue, following a heart attack in his home on Graham Road, Ross Township.

Mr. Brooks, who had worked for the Pittsburgh Forgings Co. in Coraopolis for 31 years until his retirement in 1973, was a member of the Avalon Fire Department and Ionic Lodge 525, F&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Anna C.; a sister, Inez Brooks, and three brothers: Roland (Rowland), Charles and Richard Brooks.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Perrysville, where services will be held on Friday (May 16)at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
