Birth: 1775
Death: 1824

Benjamin Knights was born September 29, 1776 in Wrentham, Massachusetts to John and Esther (Darling) Knights. May 27, 1798 he married Martha Morse in Foxborough, Massachusetts. This union was blessed with six children:

John Knights m. Rebecca Russell
Mary Knights m. Elijah Woolsey
Martha Knights m. Rev. John E. Akins
Dexter Knights m. Mary Ann Porter
Julia Ann Knights m. Asahel Howe
Lydia W. Knights m. David Burritt Scott

May 28, 1824 Benjamin Knights died and was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Painesville, Ohio. The tombstone inscription reads, "In the 49th year of his age"

(Evergreen accepted its first grave in 1860, so Benjamin was likely re-interred from another cemetery; possibly the Washington Street Cemetery in Painesville, which was closed and became the site for the new Harvey High School.)
