Sylvanus Lincoln Robbins was the son of Captain Sylvanus Robbins and Clarissa (Long) Robbins. Sylvanus married Laura Ann Olar in the 1869, and together they raised 10 children. Sylvanus worked as a seaman, a farmer, and shows in the 1900 Federal census as a "dealer in old junk". He ran an antique shop in Yarmouth known as "The Bird in the Hand" until his death in December of 1912. His home at 42 Union Street, Yarmouth MA, still stands (a restoration effort was nearing completion in September, 2008).
