Joe Alton Hyden was born November 16, 1923 to Jay R,(Jack) Hyden and Wiley Mae Clancy Hyden. He was the first born of three children to this marriage. Joe fought health problems for most of life, but faced them all with the best attitude one could ever aspire to. He lived with his parents for his entire life, working for many years at the Coco Cola bottling plant in Mexia , Texas. He was absolutely one of the sweetest guys it was ever my pleasure to know. As he was 4-f during the WW2 years he related to me that he nearly had to run for his life from the lonely women. He was single, good looking and according to him, he was caught rather often . He was extemely close to my father and his brother F. Kirby Hyden and after his death from pneumonia in Oct, 1997, my Dad's grief contributed greatly to his own passing the next year. Joe loved the Dallas Cowboys and would often joke that he was going to kick off for them the next Sunday. He was loved by us all and will always be missed.
