Obituary:
Mary A. White was born in Augusta County, VA, April 16, 1863, and died at her home two miles north of Waverly, Monday, September 15 of paralysis and heart trouble, age 66 years, 3 months, 29 days.

She was married in 1864 to Fulton W. Brown, who died April 6, 1891. To this union was born seven sons, six of whom survive her, Eugene, the eldest, dying Aug 3, 1893.

Mrs. Brown professed her Savior when a young girl, joining the M.E. church. With her husband and three children she moved to Kansas in 1869, when she joined the Rock Creek Chruch as a charter member. After this church was dissolved she moved her membership to the Waverly Presbyterian church, of which she was a member until death. Five years last January she was stricken with paralysis and has not been able to care for herself since. But she never complained nor murmured at her lot. Loving hands and hearts did all they could to ease her pain, but God saw fit to say: "Come home and be at rest."

She leaves six sons, two sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss, besides hosts of friends.

Funeral services occurred at the Presbyterian Church, Wednesday at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. W. Smith. The remains were interred in the Waverly Cemetery.
