Byron "Butch" N. Bias, 60, 380 W. Washington St., Dunkirk, died Thursday in the Jay County Hospital in Portland.
Born in Huntington, W.Va. on Oct. 9, 1944, to Sterling and Violet (Meadows) Bias, he married his wife on April 6, 1968. She survives.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having worked at the Pentagon and served in the honor guard for John Kennedy.
Other survivors include two step-sons, Gary and Greg of Dunkirk; a brother, Bruce Bias, Milton, W.Va.; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
