She was a very patriotic person and active in many associations and she was often elected President, including the Women's Relief Corp and the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the DAR, The Chapin Family Association, and The Willard Family Association and had connections with The Lewis Family Association. She was a Life Member of the 1st. Babbitt Family Association, attending their early meetings that were held in Taunton, Mass. She wrote the words to the Babbitt Hymn that is currently being sung at reunions.
