I wish I had more knowledge of my dear friend Marilyn. Like genome history and all that? However, I can only tell you of the personal information that I have of her. I met Marilyn on 05-09-1969, when she was 38 and I was 23. She was the personal Secretary to a man that owned the local Chevrolet garage in Boise, Idaho. I was hired on as a truck leasing clerk and we first met in a coffee shop that was between the two buildings. We 'clicked' right away and became good friends. >>> Marilyn was a single gal, never married or had children. She loved her parents and was very respectful of them both. She was kind, honest, hard-working, loyal, trust-worthy, dependable, and she loved animals. She especially loved her poodle dogs. She always had a couple. She and I mostly kept work company and outside of work we met at weekly movies and summer rodeo's in a nearby town. As time went on we both stayed at the same jobs and finally Marilyn retired. I missed her at work, but we still kept on with the movies. Marilyn did not have much free time from the time she retired until her passing at the age of 64. One day a person at work called me and said that Marilyn's next door neighbor had called as Marilyn's one poodle (I think Sophie), just kept sitting on the steps outside of her entry and howling and howling, trying to alert. The neighbor went across the street as this was very unusual for the usually quiet neighborhood. She found Marilyn lying on the bathroom floor, and had passed away. Later revealed as a heart attack. Marilyn had a dear friend in Caldwell, Idaho that took care of Marilyn's final arrangements, and she had Marilyn's two sweet white poodles put down and cremated and interred with Marilyn at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
Everyone should be blessed with such a kind and considerate friend as Marilyn June Galvin from Boise, Idaho. I miss our friendship more and more as I get older and older. 😞
