The Anthon Herald, 20 November 1946, page 1: Mrs. Ada Etler, 63, a resident of the Anthon community for 44 years, died Saturday at her home five miles west of here after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Anthon Methodist Church with Rev. C.B. Wittstruck officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Hudgel Funeral Home. Mrs. Etler was born December 13, 1882, at Tecumseh, Nebraska. Her husband died in 1939. She was a member of the Methodist church and the O.E.S. Survivors include three sons, Ralph, Robert and Wayne, all of Anthon, one sister, Mrs. Katie Burton of Bell, California; one brother, Clarence Phillips of Los Angeles and two grandchildren.
