Clifford G. Allen
Clifford Gilmore Allen, 90, of 3116 Lake Ave., Cheverly, Md., passed away on Friday, April 8, 2005, at the Collington Nursing Home in Mitchellville, Md.
He was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Elverton, a son of the late John Herbert and Mary Alice Mundy Allen.
He was united in marriage on June 21, 1938, to Wreatha Peterson Allen, who preceded him in death on Oct. 10, 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Zane and husband, Jack, of Cheverly and Nancy Morgan and husband, David, of Clearwater, Fla.; one son, John and wife, Sheryl, of Bountiful, Utah; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death besides his parents and wife were three brothers and one sister.
Mr. Allen worked for Mine Safety Appliance Co., attended Fayetteville Presbyterian Church and was a member of the University of Maryland Terrapin Club as well as the UM Heritage Society.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Lorentz Cemetery in Lorentz with the Rev. Gary Stackpole officiating.
