ELLIJAY, GEORGIA - Mr. Alfred Monroe Aaron age 74 of Ellijay, GA passed on Friday, June 13th, 2008.

He was a member of Mountaintown Baptist Church.

He was born on November 18, 1933 in Tignall, GA to his late parents Gertrude G. (Bradley) and Irvin Watson Aaron.

He served honorably for over 20 years in the US Army as an SFC serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He was employed as Plan Operations Manager for Saint Josephs Hospital in Dahlonega, GA and continued in the health care business for over 20 years.

Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pat Bratton Aaron of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Kathleen McCollum (Frederick) of Ellijay, GA and Elizabeth Avery (Jason) of Ellijay, GA; sons and daughters-in-law Robert Aaron (Debra) of Charleston, SC, Monroe Aaron Jr (now deceased as of February 23, 2012) (Jane) of Rock Hill, SC, Clifton Aaron (Florence) of Rock Hill, SC, Lee Aaron (Donna) of Rock Hill, SC and Joseph Aaron (Briana) of Powder Springs, GA; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth A. Ittner of Lawrenceville, GA, Bernice A. Townsend of Ellijay, GA, Betty Lou A. Bagley of Dahlonega, GA, Dorothy A. Crook of Cartersville, GA and Barbara A. Dotson of Canton, GA; brothers Richard Aaron of Woodstock, GA, Irvin Aaron Jr of Canton, GA, and John Aaron of Cartersville, GA.

Graveside interment was in the Mountaintown Baptist Church Cemetery.
