Jessie Bernert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.(Julia Schwab) Ernest Lindner, was born on February 11, 1893, at Sartoria, Neb., and passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital at Kearney, Neb., on Feb. 24, 1960, with an illness of eight months, at the age of 67 years and 13 days.
On February 8, 1921, she was united in marriage to Felix Bernert. To this union three children were born; Francis, Corlene Zwiener and Edward, who preceded her in death.
She lived in the Basin community south of Mason City, until April 15, 1953, when she moved to Mason City.
She is survived by her son, Francis, and daughter, Corlene, and five grandchildren; five sisters, her twin sister, Emma Taubenheim, Bertha Royle, Clara Kirschner, Minnie Trampe, and Mable Hawkins; two brothers, Ernest and Carl Lindner all of Amherst. Also nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Those preceding her in death were her husband, Felix; son, Edward; parents, Ernest and Julia Schwab Lindner; and three brothers, Frank, Alexander "Lex", and Herman Lindner.
Services were held at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Mason City, and burial at the Black Hill Creek Cemetery.
