WORLD WAR I VETERAN
Frank Almaden was born August 17, 1888 in Blyn, Washington to Anton (Tony) and Amelia (Martin), both of whom were born in Portugal.
Enlisted September 6, 1918 in U. S. Army Coast Artillery, 54th Company. Discharged March 22, 1919 at a Private.
He had married in 1937 and later divorced Wilhemina Caahman. They had no dependent children when he applied for admission to the Washington Veterans Home in December 1947. Mr. Almaden had remarried to Hazel Lewis and listed her two sons as his next of kind. They were Dallas Lewis and Francis A. Lewis, both of Tacoma.
Mr. Almaden died January 24, 1965 at the Veterans Home Hospital and was buried in Veterans' Home Cemetery.
