Donald J. Anderson, 68, of Grafton, died Saturday at his home following a brief illness. Born in Elyria, he was a lifelong Grafton-area resident. He served in the U.S. Army as a crypto specialist stationed at the Pentagon. He was employed at the Elyria Foundry for many years before retiring. Mr. Anderson was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Grafton. He enjoyed history and reading.
Survivors include his brother, James Anderson of Grafton; newphews, Donald E. and Robert A. Anderson; and a niece, Kathleen Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Adams).
Friends may call 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services at 6 p.m. at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road and Route 57, Elyria. The Rev. Ralph Bodziony, pastor of Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve, 424 Middle Ave., Elyria 44035.
