VALDOSTA, GA., Dec. 5.- The body of Ellison Cook Anchors, a resident of Dupont was shipped from a Valdosta mortuary to Haddock, near Macon, for burial.
According to information reaching Valdosta Mr. Anchors died at his Dupont home from a dose of poison said to have been taken by himself with suicidal intent.
For a number of years he has been in ill health. For many years he was employed by the Georgia Southern & Florida Railroad and was retired about six years ago and went to Dupont to reside. His health was so bad he could not engage in business of any kind.
The survivors include his wife, who was Miss Mona Land, of Vienna, before her marriage, and five sisters, who include Mrs. I.B. Cooper, Mrs. Henry Pearson, and Mrs. Frank Morton, all of Haddock; Mrs. James Holloway of Milledgeville, and
Mrs. S.H. Haddock of Macon. In addition to membership in the Methodist Church at Haddock, he was also a member of the Knights of Pythias.
