Mr. Alexander was a native of Cannon County and Woodbury resident. A member of the Baptist Church, he was a veteran of Tennessee Army National Guard from 1960-1967. He was also a retired homebuilder and rental property owner.
He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Guy D. (Bo) Alexander III and Shelly Smotherman Alexander of Murfreesboro; step daughter Crystal Willis Palone also of Murfreesboro; sisters, Joy Scott & Pauline Witty, both of Woodbury; niece, Teresa Scott Stoetzel; nephews, Mark & Steve Scott; his beloved canine companion, Cocoa; numerous other cousins, friends and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his "Darling Bride", Julie Wilsey Alexander and his parents, Guy Alexander, Sr. and Mary E. Davenport Alexander.
Pallbearers include Tommy, Steve & Michael Bell, Steve & Mark Scott, & Lytle Tenpenny, and Honorary Pallbearers: Carlton Shirley, Bob Stoetzel, A.C. Bell, Jr. & Leland Schwamberger.
