Minnie Bohakel, nee Naab was a daughter of Peter Justus Naab and Anna Katharina Naab, nee Maier. Minnie was born December 16, 1907 in Shumway, Effingham County, Illinois.
On November 17, 1933, Minnie was united in marriage to George Bohakel in Chicago and to this union 3 children were born.
Minnie was a homemaker who volunteered at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines, earning a 2000 hour pin. She was also a member of the Woman's Clubs of both Our Lady of Lebanon Church and St. Raymond Church.
Minnie died April 4, 2003 at The Moorings of Arlington Heights in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Bohakel and nine brothers.
Minnie is survived by her children, Cyrina (Leo) Salem, Kathleen (the late Paul) Ponticelli, and Richard (Marianne) Bohakel; grandchildren, Teresa (Dennis) Saunders, Susan Salem, Carlo, Ermelinda, Alfonso Ponticelli and Elvira (John) Birazzi, and Eva Bohakel; sisters, Kathryn Kastner and Hilda Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held April 7, 2003, interment followed at the St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Cook County, Illinois.
