Lillian (Greer) Benedict 64, of Lakeland, Florida fell asleep in Christ on April 30th 2012. She was received by our Lord as a result of lung failure.

She was born on the northwest side of Pittsburgh September 17th 1947. Greer and family moved to Lakeland in 1968 which quickly became their home. Greer worked as a school crossing guard for several years. She began a career at Wolfsons/Publix Pharmacy in 1983 as a Pharmacist tech and retired in 2011. During her life and career she touched many lives with her unique ability to genuinely care for everyone as if they were immediately family.

She was preceded into death by her brother Elmer Glies, father Elmer Glies and mother Gladys Weyman. Everyone in Greer's life was family however she is survived by her husband James Benedict, brother David Glies and her four children's families. Son Eddie & Jamie Kelley with Angelle and Eddie III. Son Byron & Christa Kelley with Priscilla, Byron Jr., Victoria, Landon and Madison. Daughter Tracey Ingram with sons Christopher and Aaron. Son Larry and Grace Eldridge with Maylen, Aaron, Larry, Lillian and Elizabeth.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen foundation in her honor.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday May 3, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. and the family will receive from 4-5 p.m. at Heath Funeral chapel.
