Obituary
Audrey Elizabeth "Peggy" Dickson, 78, of Tarboro died Monday, June 22, 2009. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Raymond Potter, the Rev. William "Billy" Wooten, the Rev. Ralph Leggett, the Rev. Jessie Blalock and the Rev. Robert Ormond officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.


Peggy was a long-time active member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a very loving person who enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with her family and friends. Peggy will be remembered for her appearance in the Tarboro Christmas Parade,where she could be seen riding her bicycle with her Santa Claus hat. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert "Pete" and Arnold Dickson. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Leola Harper of Pinetops; two nieces, Brenda Stroud and husband Joe of Tarboro and Carol Harper of Leggett; a nephew, Ronnie Dickson and wife Brenda of Tarboro; three great-nephews, one great-niece, two great-great-nieces; and a special loving and caring friend, Margie Pollard.


The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Flowers are welcome, memorial gifts may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro. The Daily Southerner
