Services Held Here for Mrs. Mary Haller-Bonham

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary HALLER-BONHAM were held at four o'clock Friday afternoon at the home of her sister, Miss Ada Haller in Burlingame, conducted by Rev. E. C. Wolters, pastor at the Presbyterian church. After several months' illness, Mrs. Bonham passed away March 18, 1931, at Dalhart, Texas, at the age of 72 years and one month. Interment was in the family lot in the Burlingame Cemetery.
Mary HALLER was born in Franklin, Warren county, Ohio, February 18, 1859. At the age of nine years, she came to Burlingame, Kansas, with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. James HALLER. Here she grew to womanhood and received her education in the public schools and lived until her marriage.
She was united in marriage to H.G. BONHAM, May 5, 1882, and to this union one daughter, Mrs. Anna BONHAM-FINCH was born. For a few years, Mr. and Mrs. Bonham resided in Emporia, but they later returned to Burlingame and built the house just west of the HALLER home where they lived until the death of Mr. Bonham in 1908. Since his death, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Howard FINCH and family at Dalhart, Texas.
In spit of several years' suffering she exhibited a bright and cheery disposition, thinking always of others, and she led an active life up to the time of her last illness.
Mrs Bonham was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church with which she united on December 6th, 1903. She was also a charter member of the Eastern Star of Burlingame. She leaves to mourn her going one daughter, Mrs. Ann Bonham-Finch; a son-in-law, H. A. Finch; a granddaughter, Frances of Dalhart, Texas; one sister, Miss Ada Haller; a niece, Mrs. Fred SCHENCK and her husband of Burlingame; one brother, James Haller and wife of Kansas City, Missouri; besides a host of friends both in Kansas and Texas.
"And as we pulled the death robe o'er her
She gently closed her eyes,
And her spirit wafted upward
To that Home beyond the skies."
