Calvin Sylvester Mullen of Covington died on Friday, Sepetmber 8, 1995 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 69 years of age, a native of Vicksburg, MS and a St. Tammany resident for the past 19 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Schoen Funeral Home on Sunday, September 10 with interment in Garden of Pines Cemetery. The Rev. Warren Heck officiated.
He was the husband of Catherine Covel Mullen; the father of Calvin S. Mullen, Jr. of Tremenot, UT, Clarence E. Mullen, Sr. of Covington, James E. Mullen of Mandeville, Patrick H. Mullen of Mandeville, Victory W. Mullen of Covington, Brenda Martin of Bonaire, GA, Michael Koppenol of Covington and Cathy Lee of Tarkio, MO; and the brother of Elmer Mullen of Slidell, Charles H. Mullen of Lacombe, Ruby Williams of Metairie, Lillie Matherne of Covington and the late Tillie Orgeron, John Mullen and Victory Mullen. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
