Abner Hickok was born at Woodbury, Ct. the
son of Andrew and Mary (Ingraham) Hickok.
Abner's father, Andrew was also born at
Woodbury, Ct., April 24, 1749, wife Mary
Ingraham was born at Woodbury, Oct. 23,
1748. Andrew ahd Mary Ingraham were
married on May 1, 1771 at Roxbury, Ct.,7
miles from Woodbury.

Mary's father and mother, Junia and Hannah
(Dunkee) Ingraham resided at Woodbury, Ct.
until the year of 1773, when they removed to
Dorchester, N.H. They resided at Dorchester,
N.H. for a period of time and then relocated
to Rumney, N.H. where Junia was a Deacon at
the Baptist church.

The year of 1777 Andrew, Mary and son Abner
removed from Woodbury and also relocated to
Dorchester, N.H. (Abner born 1775, age 2).

Sometime betrween the years of 1775 and 1782 Mary Ingraham passed-on, for Abner's father, Andrew remarried to a lady by the name of (Blodgett) Blodgett the year of 1782 at Dorchester, N.H. A son by the name of Ebenezer Hickok was born the year of 1785 at Dorchester.

The year of 1786, Andrew, wife Sarah, and
son's Abner and Ebenezer removed from
Dorchester, N.H. to Plymouth, N.H., where
Andrew and Sarah passed-on. Andrew 1831
and Sarah 1838.

As of today, Mary Ingraham Hockok's death
year and place of interment has not been

Abner paid his taxes the year of 1796 at
Plymouth, N.H., married Lois Wyatt, on
January 17, 1805, state of N.H., and then
settled at Wilmington, Essex Co. N.Y.,
where they passed-on.

Abner Hickok's gr. grandfather, Samuel Hickok was the brother of Joseph Hickok Jr.
Joseph Hickok Jr. was the 3rd gr. grand-
father of James Butler Hickok, "Wild Bill",
hence, Abner Hickok and "Wild Bill" Hickok
were cousins.

Abner's half brother's and sister's were:
Ebenezer Hickok, Mary Hickok Adams,
Charlotte Hickok Blakely, and two half
sister's, names unknown:
The Plymouth, N.H. census: Andrew Hickok
has 7 children. Names are not written,
only age brackets are shown.
