BIRTH: The following newspaper record extract from Malta survives:
"Mrs CROZIER, the wife of Mr.St. George B. Crozier, gave birth to a son on Sunday 12th November 1848"

In the 14 Jan 1861 Canadian census, he is listed as "A G D CROZIER", age 12, living in Brighton (about 20 miles/ 33 kms west of Belleville) with his parents and two older brothers, John and Leif. Later records detail his given names of "Andrew" and "Deacon". "G" may be for "Gordon", since "Andrew Gordon DEACON" was his mother's father and "Andrew Gordon DEACON Jr" was her youngest brother b. 21 Sept 1841. However, his oldest brother, John Albert Gordon CROZIER, already had "Gordon". "George" may be less likely, since his younger brother, Baron St George Augustus CROZIER already had their father's name.

In both the 2 Apr 1871 census and 4 Apr 1881 census, Andrew is listed as living with his parents in Belleville. There is no profession or occupation listed for him. Andrew never married.

On 19 Sept 1888, he suffered an "acute haemorrhage of the lungs" and passed away within hours. That symptom became later to be recognized as characteristic of pulmonary tuberculosis that may have been undiagnosed for a year or longer.

He was buried in Plot P of the Belleville Cemetery, in what became the small area for burial of his parents, two brothers, and other relatives in the CROZIER family. He was joined just 4 years later, in 1892, by his father.
