Isabella "Bella" née DEACON CROZIER and her twin sister Sarah, were born 8 Nov 1822 at Picton, Prince Edward County, Ontario [then Upper Canada]. They were two of nine children born to Andrew Gordon DEACON (b. 27 Jan 1796, Quebec, Quebec [then Lower Canada], son of Thomas DEACON b Tipperary, Ireland) and Amanda nee CORY DEACON CROZIER (b. 19 Mar 1800 at Cory Castle, Ballston NY d. 15 Feb 1880) who married 20 Apr 1820 at Pleasant Bay [later named Hillier (after 1869)], in later(1841) Hillier Twp, Prince Edward County Ontario.
"Bella" was in failing health in her last year and died at 231 Huron St, Toronto, home of her only surviving son, John Albert Gordon CROZIER.
She is buried with her husband and three of their four* sons, among almost a dozen related family members in a CROZIER Family area of Belleville Cemetery in Plot P, near Lake Ontario.
* Her 2nd son, Baron St George Augustus CROZIER, b 9 May 1844, died on the Island of Malta in 1850 and was buried there. The following newspaper record extracts from Malta survive:
(i)"Baron St. George A. CROZIER, died 3rd September 1850 after a severe attack of cholera, aged 6 years 4 months, the second son of St.George B. Crozier"
(ii)"Mrs CROZIER, the wife of Mr.St. George B. Crozier, gave birth to a son on Sunday 12th November 1848"
The family returned from Gibraltar to Boston aboard the Schooner "Premier" arriving on 10 July 1852. The passenger manifest names the parents and only three sons.
