Mabel Maybelle Davis was the eldest child of Charles Wesley Davis and Clara Emeline Davis nee: Glazier. Mabel and her family lived in Love County, Oklahoma as she was growing up. She met and married her husband Luther Claude 'Bunk' Ivins in Oklahoma. The Ivins' family came to Santa Rita, Grant, New Mexico with Mabel's parents and her siblings that were still at home in the mid forties'. They eventually moved to Las Cruces, Dona Ana, New Mexico about 1947, where they lived until their deaths in the late seventies.'
