Granville "Jack" Floyd, Jr., age 53, of Hillsboro, IL, died at 11:03 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Litchfield, IL.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL Funeral services will be Friday, June 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Arthur Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield, IL, with military rites by Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.

Mr. Floyd was born September 27, 1957 at Springfield, IL, a son of the late Granville Floyd, Sr. and Mary (Martin) Aymond, husband, William and they survives at Fredericktown, MO. His marriage to Paula Richardson took place at Lomita, CA on October 14, 1978 and she survives at Hillsboro. Three children also survive, Stefanie (husband, Josh) Howard, Coffeen, IL, Granville "Jack" Floyd, III, stationed in England with the Air Force, William Arthur Floyd, Columbia, MO and six grandchildren, Madison Howard, Caitlyn Howard, Granville "Jack" Floyd, IV, Elijah Howard, Ariana Floyd, and Lillyana Floyd. One brother, Kevin Floyd and one sister, Janice Marie (Floyd) Brechaud also survive.

He was a graduate of Lamphire High School in Springfield, IL. Jack had worked at Echlin Manufacturing and had recently retired from working as a correctional officer at Graham Correctional Center, Hillsboro, IL. He loved fishing hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of his adult life was spent in the Hillsboro area. He was a member of Litchfield Bass Club and had served in the military with the US Marine Corp.
