She was born on October 7, 1913 in Decatur, Illinois to William and Grace Curtis Riley. She married Vollie Atkinson on October 11, 1929 in Clinton, IL. She was a homemaker. Elizabeth loved flower gardening, especially her roses, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris (James) Webb of Colfax, Il, Barbara Curtis and Carole Lovett, both of Taylorville; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1975, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 son-in-law, and 1 great grandson.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville with Rev. Dick Wamsley officiating.
